ACT - Autism Community Training
2015-2025Over 10 years I worked on projects to improve or create services for ACT, a non-profit that serves communities across Canada. This multi-faceted role challenged me to develop software for the ACT website, design logos, graphics, and user-interfaces, create print products, manage all aspects of digital communication and marketing, provide event technical support, record and edit video,and provide technical support for staff and clients.
Video Production
Edited hundreds of hours of content, published on our website, Vimeo, and YouTube. I was technical lead on web-streaming events with thousands of viewers on Zoom, YouTube, and other platforms. At live, in-person events I used a multi-camera system for recording and live streaming. I've also produced, directed, edited, and promoted short videos for social media and promotional content.
Custom Search Engine
In 2024 I built a lightning fast custom search engine with filters using Algolia, PHP, and Advanced Custom FIelds for WordPress.
Print design
Using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, I've designed and edited content for dozens of guides, brochures, posters, and promotional materials.
Technical Support
Throughout my years at ACT, I've provided technical support to colleagues and clients for a broad range of applications and hardware, at events and at the office.
Marketing
I use email campaigns, social media, online advertising platforms, and our community connections to promote ACT's fundrasing efforts and to sell tickets to our events.
Vancouver Biennale
2025Updated the festival website with new artists, artworks, and features for the 2025 edition. Built an interactive map to display artworks for visitors to easily plan their trip to the Biennale's artworks.
